I've always been fascinated by how quickly everything can shift — one moment you're good and caught up, and the next you feel the world leave you behind. A single event rewrites your entire world. This idea has been on my mind for years, and I needed to get it out.

The heart of the film is about how deflecting responsibility and pain only creates a snowball effect, continuing cycles of hurt for generations. I want people to walk away knowing it's okay to not have everything figured out — because when you're in pain, the world doesn't wait for you, but you don't have to rush to catch up either.

I shot A Day entirely handheld because I wanted the audience to feel like they were right there, seeing through human eyes. Almost every shot is at eye level, up close, making you feel alongside the characters. There was no budget because I made this film with friends and family, and we used what we had.

Nothing we do is ever planned properly, but it doesn't matter to us. We roll with the punches. Growth, unlike tragedy, doesn't just happen in a day.
